Please respect the course and our community:
• Repair pitch marks and rake bunkers after use.
• Maintain pace by keeping close to the group ahead or letting faster groups play through.
• Keep buggies and trolleys off greens, and tees; our GPS Buggies will prevent you going on parts of the course that are restricted.
• There may be temporary course instructions in force – Please check our Course Status ‘ticker tape’ on the home page.
• The use of mobile phones is not permitted on the course or in the clubhouse unless there is an emergency.
• Play is from YELLOW tees only for men, RED tees for ladies.
• All divots should be replaced, pitch marks repaired, bunkers raked and rakes left IN bunkers please.
• Practice is only permitted on the practice ground, chipping and putting green.
• Priority MUST be given to Greens Staff working on the course.
• Insurance – all players are covered for 3rd party risk, personal insurance is not covered.
• Eight GPS buggies are available for hire from the Pro Shop. As a society you can book four buggies on booking your golf day, further buggies can be booked no more than 48 hours in advance. To reserve, call the Dyke Golf Club Pro Shop on 01273 857260 in advance.
• All reservations are subject to availability. Hired buggies must be returned by 6:00pm (Apr-Oct).

Trolleys
• Only standard wheels may be used; winter or “hedgehog” wheels are not permitted.
• Trolleys can be hired from the Pro Shop by booking in advance.
Safe Golf
• Dyke Golf Club is a certified SafeGolf Club, meeting England Golf safeguarding standards for children, young people, and adults at risk.
Arrival
• Check in at the Pro Shop on arrival.
• Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your tee time. Late arrivals may not be accommodated.
• On-site parking is available
Dining
• The clubhouse is open daily from 7:00am to dark, with food served between 7:30am and 3:30pm (hours may vary).
• Enjoy a freshly prepared menu of food and drink in a relaxed setting.
Smart Casual Attire:
• Clean, smart jeans allowed (no ripped, overly faded, or slogan-covered jeans).
• Waterproof golf clothing, cargo trousers/shorts, gym wear, hot pants, tracksuits, and swimwear are not permitted.
Footwear:
• Smart, flat-soled fashion trainers allowed.
• Running shoes, flip-flops, sliders, or cleated shoes with screw-in spikes are not permitted.
• Sandals allowed; socks not required.
Other:
• Hats/caps must be removed indoors.
• Clothing must be clean and dry.
• Mobile calls are prohibited; phones must be on silent.
• Only guide or assistance dogs allowed indoors; dogs may be walked on a lead on patios and around the course perimeter (members only).
Tops:
• Collared or golf-specific tops required (mock necks acceptable).
• T-shirts or non-golf hoodies not permitted.
• Golf-branded hoodies or fitted performance layers allowed.
Trousers & Shorts:
• Tailored trousers, shorts, and golf leggings allowed.
• Jeans, cargo trousers/shorts, gym wear, tracksuits, non-golf sport shorts, and swimwear not allowed.
• Shorts should be smart, well-fitting, and reflect current golf fashion.
• Polo shirts should be tucked in unless designed to be worn untucked.
Footwear & Socks:
• Golf shoes must be worn.
• Short, ankle, or trainer-style socks acceptable if matching outfit.
• Shorts must be worn with knee-length or short white sports socks.
• Playing barefoot is prohibited.
Mobile Phones:
• Phones may only be carried for emergencies.
• Voice calls are prohibited on the course and in clubhouse areas.
• Phones must be silent and used discreetly.
Dress Code Enforcement
• Club staff may politely remind visitors if the dress code is not followed.
• Individuals may be asked to change or relocate if necessary.
• Members are encouraged to discreetly remind one another of the dress code.
• Policy is reviewed annually by the House Committee and may be amended as required.
